What was next

Co-owner of an import and distribution company with nationwide operations. Market segment - premium drinks. Of course, spirits. Liqueurs, whiskey (s), cognac, rum, tequila and other goodies. And this for more than 12 years, until the direct entry of the companies we represented in Slovakia into our market.

And it was painted...

At first glance, yes, but the companion proposed a specialization in cognac. At the turn of the century (even millennia), we were thrilled by this crazy idea and had an amazing sequel. The project with the main theme of cognac was in the world and I was involved in, among other activities, the creation and operation of beautiful cognac clubs in Košice, Bratislava and finally in Prague.

But cognac is from France...

Of course it is. Therefore, we went there very often and visited several dozen big, medium-sized and small producers, mapped their history, present and tasted all their cognacs. Then, at our invitation, producers came to cognac clubs to present their brands to our friends. Surprisingly, the owners of the cognac houses did not speak slovak, so I interpreted all the presentations. However, we did not keep experiences and information from trips and home presentations of cognac houses just to ourselves.

Magazine and books

In addition to my countless presentations and training on cognac, these were the carriers of all the information that I enthusiastically wrote and brought to my friends of cognac in Slovakia and the Czech Republic. Magazine at irregular intervals and books as well. They were three of them. One with brief information on all aspects of the history, appeal, production and serving of cognac, the other detailing its interesting history and the third dealing in more detail with the production areas within the Cognac region.

Why mycognac.sk

Because I enjoyed it, it is fun for me and it will be fun. In addition, my friends from Cognac, during our last conversations and meetings called on me to intensify contacts and cooperation.

What would you do in my place?
